Terms of service
Last updated 12 September 2026
Who this is between
These terms are between Bethel Ventures LLC, which operates InfiniSpeak, and the organisation whose account is used to run events. If you accept them on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may bind it.
Attendees at an event do not need an account and are not party to these terms. What they can expect is set out in our privacy policy.
What the service does
InfiniSpeak takes speech from the stage microphone — and, where you allow it, from attendees who hold Talk on their own phones — and delivers live interpretation, as spoken audio and captions, to attendees’ own phones in the languages you enable.
Interpretation is produced by automated transcription, translation and speech synthesis. There is no human interpreter involved at any point.
What machine interpretation is not
It is not a certified or sworn translation, and it is not equivalent to a qualified human interpreter. It will sometimes mishear, mistranslate, or mispronounce — particularly with names, technical terms, crosstalk, strong accents, poor audio, or several people speaking at once.
Do not rely on InfiniSpeak where an error could cause real harm. That includes medical instructions, legal proceedings, safety announcements, financial or contractual advice, and anything on which somebody’s rights, health or money depends. In those settings use a qualified human interpreter.
You are responsible for telling the people at your event that interpretation is automatic. The attendee screen says so, and you should say so too.
Your account and the people on it
You may invite anyone in your organisation. Everyone you invite can reach your events; nobody outside your organisation can. Keep the list current — removing someone takes effect immediately.
You are responsible for what is done under your account, including by people you invite.
What you are buying
Capacity, measured in language-hours. One language-hour is one language being listened to for one hour. Three languages for an hour spends three; a language nobody selects spends nothing.
Attendee numbers do not affect what you pay. Five listeners or five hundred cost the same, because one pipeline serves them all.
- Subscriptions renew monthly and top your balance up each month. Unused hours do not roll over.
- Event packs are bought once and are valid for twelve months from purchase.
- Going over is charged at $6.00 per language-hour. We will never stop interpreting mid-session because a balance ran out — we warn you at 70%, 85% and 100%, and bill the difference.
An account with no hours at all cannot start a session. That is the one case where the software refuses, because there is nobody to bill.
Payment, renewal and cancellation
Payments are taken by Stripe. We never see or hold your card details. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you are.
A subscription renews on the same day each month until you cancel. Cancel any time and it runs to the end of the period you have paid for; we do not refund part of a month.
Event packs are refundable in full within 14 days of purchase if none of the hours have been used. Once a pack has been used, or after 14 days, it is not refundable.
If a payment fails we will tell you and try again. Your events keep working while we sort it out.
How you may use it
You may not use InfiniSpeak to:
- interpret speech you have no right to interpret, or where the speaker has not been told it is happening;
- break the law, or infringe anyone’s rights;
- resell or rebrand the service as your own without a written agreement with us;
- attempt to overload, probe or work around the service’s limits.
You are responsible for having whatever consent or notice the law where your event happens requires.
What we promise, and what we do not
We will run the service with reasonable skill and care, and we will tell you honestly when something has gone wrong.
We do not offer a guaranteed uptime commitment at this stage, and you should not treat InfiniSpeak as the only way people at your event can follow what is happening. It depends on the venue’s internet, on attendees’ own phones, and on third-party services we do not control.
Except where the law does not allow it to be limited, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. We are not liable for lost profits, lost opportunities, or the consequences of a mistranslation.
Your content
What is said at your event is yours. We do not claim any right to it, and we do not use it to train models. We process it only to produce the interpretation you asked for, as described in the privacy policy.
Ending it
You can close your account at any time by asking us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we are legally required to stop serving, or that has not paid — and except where something serious or unlawful is happening, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
We will not cut off an event that is running. Whatever the dispute, it waits until the room has gone home.
Changes and governing law
We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you may cancel rather than accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, where Bethel Ventures LLC is incorporated, and the state and federal courts of Illinois have exclusive jurisdiction — except that either of us may seek an injunction wherever it is needed.
